The main aim of our activity on polling day (and the night before) is to ‘Get Out The Vote’ – to ensure as many people who have said they will vote for us, actually make it to the polling booth and do so. We will only be contacting people likely to be supportive.
Wednesday 22nd May (evening)
From 6.30pm onwards I will be at home in Woolwich this evening, with small (3-100, average size = 20) bundles of leaflets to go to specific addresses (with lists). I would be grateful if as many members as possible could pop by to collect one tonight to take away and deliver to their local streets either later tonight or Thursday morning. I live at Flat 85, Building 22, Cadogan Road, Royal Arsenal, SE18 6YS. 7 minutes from DLR/National Rail station, or you can drive in and stop temporarily outside building.
Please email Ramesh.firstname.lastname@example.org or text 07838070264 your name, postcode (and polling district if you know it) before you set off so I can check it hasn’t already gone out and how many there are for that area.
Thursday 23rd (morning, 6-8am)
Delivering morning leaflets to supporters to remind them to vote (leaving them for them to find when they wake). Starting off in Blackheath Westcombe.* *this might change if lots of Blackheath Westcombe leaflets are collected on Wednesday. Please let me know if you can join in.
Thursday 23rd (daytime)
Delivering remaining leaflets to supporters in Wards not yet covered, to prompt them to vote when they return home. Contact me during the day to help with this.
Thursday 23rd (evening – 6pm onwards)
Knocking on doors of supporters to check they have voted. Leaving leaflets for them if not in. Lists of voters in nearby areas available from me in Woolwich, and 44 Roan Street, Greenwich, SE10 9JT. Please go to one of those bases to collect
