Kieran Edwards - Candidate for By-Election Eltham Town and Avery Hill

Local campaigner Kieran Edwards has been selected as the Lib Dem candidate for Eltham Town & Avery Hill ward in the upcoming Royal Borough of Greenwich council by-election.

Kieran Edwards has been selected as the Lib Dem candidate for Eltham Town & Avery Hill ward in the upcoming Royal Borough of Greenwich council by-election. He announced his candidacy by saying:
I moved to Eltham 6 years ago and fell in love with this leafy green borough. With my first child and wife, I feel that now I should try to make the place where I live the best it can be.
Standing as your Liberal Democrat candidate in the upcoming local by-election, I am committed to listening to residents, working together to solve problems to give everyone locally a fair chance to succeed.
My priorities for Eltham and Avery Hill ward include improved access to health and social care services for everyone young and old and keeping our green spaces open and maintained for everyone to use.
Most importantly I want us all to feel safe in our homes and on our high streets. Liberal Democrats are calling for a return to proper community policing, where officers are visible, trusted and known personally to local people.
I am committed to ensuring that our council is transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of all residents.
Local supporters have been out in force in the ward this weekend and last weekend to rally support for Kieran in what is expected to be a close fought campaign. Keep up with our Events page to join us next time.
The election will take place on on Thursday 17 October 2024 and, if you vote in person, remember that ID will be required. Postal vote applications need to be made by 2 October.
