Abbey Wood
Our candidates for Abbey Wood
Tom Headon
I have been a resident of Abbey Wood ward for over 25 years. I have spent 15 years as a Governor of Plumstead Manor School. Among the issues I will pursue as your local Councillor are:
Vacant business premises – I will seek to have all of these reopened and operating as soon as possible;
Tackling crime – work with the police and local residents to tackle anti—social behaviour, car crime and burglaries;
Take the council to the people – give neighbourhood groups real power so local people have a proper say on decisions that affect them.

I have lived in Abbey Wood for over 10 years, and while I’m happy to see the transport improvements that have come to the area with the Elizabeth Line, I am concerned at the impact this has on the availability of housing for residents. I want to see Greenwich Council doing more to improve local amenities and deal with anti-social behaviour in the area.
Finbarr Headon
I have lived in Abbey Wood all my life. I am currently studying International Relations at university.
As a young person interested in politics I aim to engage with other people of my generation. If elected, I would campaign for more youth facilities in the local area. Other issues that I would highlight are cleaner streets, pavement repairs and supporting small businesses.
Last year I volunteered at the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival. I found the experience rewarding through providing visitors with information and assistance to attend events as well as promoting access to the arts in general.
