Thamesmead Moorings
Our candidates for Thamesmead Moorings
Dr Philip Symes
I’ve lived in the borough with my family for 10 years, and I’m standing to be a councillor in Thamesmead Moorings because I want residents to feel proud of both their neighbourhood and their council. I believe local politics should be practical, fair and focused on helping people get on with their lives. That means better transport, reliable council services, fair treatment for leaseholders and residents, safe and well-kept public spaces, and open decision-making that earns trust. Thamesmead residents deserve a council that listens, plans ahead and delivers well for everyone. I want to help make sure local people feel heard and that the area’s growth works for existing residents too.
Rhian O'Connor
I am standing as your Liberal Democrat candidate in Thamesmead Moorings because I believe the area has long been neglected by its Labour councillors. Residents deserve someone who listens to their concerns and improves their neighbourhoods.
I have lived in Greenwich Borough for nearly 20 years and love the diversity and kindness of the people. I believe there is a true community spirit where people help their neighbours. I have volunteered for Greenwich Foodbank and am currently studying for a Masters in Public Policy. My interest is in poverty and inequality, especially health inequalities. I want to help everyone to get the best start in life.
