Cllr Emily Davey Speaks to Greenwich Lib Dems about Housing
Councillor Davey is a lawyer and campaigner on housing issues. She’s also a Lib Dem councillor from the Royal Borough of Kingston, using her wealth of experience and knowledge in the housing sector to support the residents of her ward.
Last week, she generously shared her valuable insights on the Local Authority, Private Rent and Housing Association sectors with the Greenwich Liberal Democrats. She provided valuable tips on how we can campaign for improvements across a range of important issues, including:
- Housing conditions, in both council and private rented properties
- Homelessness
- Empty properties
- The leasehold system, including information on the Leasehold Advisory Service
- Tackling anti-social behaviour.
Her informative and engaging talk and Q&A provided us with useful insights and guidance. We enjoyed the session, as she left us inspired to use her ideas to improve the state of housing in Greenwich Borough.
