GBLD Hold AGM for 2025

Amongst highlights at our AGM in November was an excellent talk from John Russell. John is the Lib Dem Spokesperson for Energy and Climate Change in the House of Lords. We were given a fascinating insight into the work of the House of Lords where parliamentary bills are scrutinised in the second chamber, including the importance of even a single word change. On Climate Change we were told how quickly things are moving in order to bring the national electricity grid up to scratch for 2030 and enable the use of far more renewable energy.

In other agenda items, key officers gave their annual reports, the accounts for the prior year were accepted and the Executive was elected for 2026.
